Florida Executes Serial Killer Glen Rogers for 1995 Tampa Murder

Glen Rogers, known as the "Casanova Killer" and the "Cross Country Killer," is set to be executed by lethal injection at Florida State Prison for the 1995 murder of Tina Marie Cribbs, a mother of two whom he met at a bar in Tampa. Rogers was convicted for stabbing Cribbs to death in a motel room and subsequently stealing her car, leading to a police chase that ended in Kentucky. He has also been sentenced to death in California for the murder of Sandra Gallagher, committed weeks before Cribbs' killing, and is suspected of multiple other murders across several states. Rogers had sought a new court hearing to present evidence of childhood sexual abuse, but his appeals were repeatedly denied, including by the U.S. Supreme Court. Despite media speculation, law enforcement has dismissed any link between Rogers and the infamous O.J. Simpson case. His execution marks the fifth carried out in Florida this year, reflecting the state's continued use of capital punishment.
