Religion of Sports, Sports Reference Developing Immaculate Grid Show
Religion of Sports, the production company co-founded by Gotham Chopra with Tom Brady and Michael Strahan, is developing a television game show adapting the online trivia hit Immaculate Grid and is in early development with no outlet attached. The project is being developed in partnership with Sports Reference, which operates Immaculate Grid. The show will adapt Immaculate Grid’s 3×3 daily-trivia format—which began with baseball and now spans multiple sports—into timed competitions that pit sports fans, athletes and celebrities against the clock. Immaculate Grid has attracted millions of users, reported as more than 6.5 million this year. Religion of Sports, known for documentary projects such as Simone Biles Rising and Built in Birmingham, called the format “very challenging and very addictive” and said it is a natural fit for television. The announcement arrives amid growing audience interest in sports trivia content.
