Ankeny Centennial Advances in State Volleyball

In the Class 5A state volleyball quarterfinals at Xtream Arena, Ankeny Centennial and Waukee Northwest emerged victorious, both winning in straight sets. Ankeny Centennial defeated Cedar Falls with scores of 25-19, 25-22, and 25-23, led by Delaney Miller's impressive 24 kills, while Cedar Falls' Kennedy Krecklow contributed nine kills. Waukee Northwest pulled off an upset against No. 3 Ankeny, winning 25-14, 25-20, and 29-27, demonstrating resilience after losing to Ankeny multiple times during the regular season. Pleasant Valley and West Des Moines Dowling also advanced to the semifinals, with Pleasant Valley sweeping Waukee. The semifinal matches will feature Pleasant Valley against Dowling and Ankeny Centennial facing Waukee Northwest, with the championship scheduled for Thursday morning.
