He purchased his winning ticket at Ali’s Lucky Place & Convenience in Yonkers. Meanwhile, Larry Hartig, a 72-year-old man from the Syracuse area, claimed a $17 million New York Lotto jackpot drawn on July 23, opting for a lump sum payment of $5,770,232 after taxes. Hartig's ticket was purchased at Polge Wine & Liquors in Syracuse, and after a delay in payment, he has now received his winnings. The New York Lotto game generated over $53 million in sales during the 2024-2025 fiscal year, contributing significant funds to local school districts. Several large prizes remain unclaimed on the VIP Millions ticket, including eleven $1 million prizes and two $5 million prizes.
