Turkey Ends Investigation into Meta Platforms

The board found these commitments satisfactory, allowing Threads to be reinstated in Turkey without requiring users to have an Instagram account. Meta assured that data from Threads will remain separate from Instagram unless users choose to merge their accounts. This investigation, initiated last year, focused on potential violations of competition law associated with the integration of Meta's platforms. Meta had previously suspended Threads in Turkey in April to comply with an interim order from authorities.
