Daniel Day-Lewis Returns to Acting in Anemone
Daniel Day-Lewis has officially come out of retirement from acting after seven years, marking his return with a film titled 'Anemone,' directed by his son, Ronan Day-Lewis. The film, co-written by the father-son duo, will explore the intricate relationships between fathers, sons, and brothers, and features actors such as Sean Bean and Samantha Morton. Day-Lewis, who previously announced his retirement following the release of 'Phantom Thread' in 2017, expressed gratitude for his experiences in the industry. His brief return to public life included presenting an award to Martin Scorsese earlier this year, where he praised their collaborations. The project is being produced by Focus Features and is currently in pre-production. Ronan Day-Lewis, at age 26, is also debuting as a visual artist with a solo exhibition in Hong Kong.
