Lil Durk Arrested on Federal Murder-for-Hire Charges

Grammy Award-winning rapper Lil Durk, real name Durk Banks, has been arrested in Florida on federal charges related to a murder-for-hire plot involving rapper Quando Rondo. Authorities allege that Durk orchestrated the attempted 2022 killing of Rondo, which resulted in the death of Rondo's cousin, Saviay’a Robinson, as retaliation for the 2020 murder of OTF rapper King Von in Atlanta. The FBI has accused Durk of funding the attack and arranging travel and accommodations for his rap group, Only the Family (OTF), to carry out the crime. Five other OTF members have also been arrested, and additional arrests are anticipated. Durk was apprehended in Miami while allegedly attempting to flee the country on a private flight to Italy. The arrest followed a grand jury indictment in California and the unsealing of the indictment by the Los Angeles district attorney.
