Zomato Launches Accelerated Safety Response Program

Zomato has launched its Accelerated Safety Response program, which utilizes the delivery partner app to automatically detect crashes and initiate emergency response by dispatching an ambulance. This initiative aims to enhance the safety of delivery partners by potentially saving critical time in emergencies and aligns with Zomato's commitment to their well-being. The program was introduced at the 'Sustainability and Inclusivity: Role of the Platform Economy' conference in New Delhi, attended by Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, who highlighted the growing importance of the food delivery sector in generating employment. Zomato has trained nearly 45,000 delivery partners in emergency first aid and CPR as part of its safety initiatives. Minister Gadkari emphasized the significance of road safety, given the high rates of accidents and fatalities among delivery workers in India. This launch reflects Zomato's ongoing efforts to integrate safety and sustainability into its operations.
