EPA Publishes Webpages Debunking Chemtrails Weather Manipulation Claims
EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin has launched new online resources to address and debunk persistent conspiracy theories about "chemtrails," which claim that aircraft exhaust trails are used for weather manipulation or population control. The EPA clarifies that contrails are simply condensation trails formed by high-altitude jets, comparable to visible exhaust from vehicles or breath on a cold day, and that there is no evidence of intentional chemical dispersal for geoengineering or weather modification over the United States. While some legislation, including a recent bill by Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene, aims to ban weather modification activities, the EPA emphasizes that such claims are unfounded and that any chemical dispersal at low altitudes is for legitimate purposes like firefighting or farming. Zeldin stressed the importance of transparency and meeting public questions with factual information rather than dismissing concerns outright. The new EPA pages were created after consulting agency experts and external sources to provide a comprehensive scientific explanation to the public. This initiative comes amid increased attention following deadly flooding in Texas and ongoing public curiosity about atmospheric phenomena.
