Atlantic County Humane Society Seeks Suspect Abandoning Three Dogs in Rain

The Atlantic County Humane Society is seeking help to identify a man who abandoned three Shih Tzu mix dogs in terrible condition by dropping them over their fence during a heavy rainstorm. Surveillance footage shows the individual arriving early morning, removing the dogs from a white car, and leaving without any contact information, while the vehicle's license plate was not visible. The dogs were found wet, matted, and covered in feces, requiring hours of grooming and medical care. This incident marks the third case of animal abandonment reported by the shelter within the same week, with another three dogs abandoned at a nearby facility on the same morning. Executive Director Steven Dash emphasized that abandoning animals is illegal and urged anyone with information to contact the Humane Society or Atlantic City Police. The shelter continues to appeal to the community for assistance in identifying the person responsible and ensuring the animals receive the care they need.
