The Old Guard 2 Trailer Teases Revenge and New Powers

Netflix will release The Old Guard 2 on July 2, following Andy (Charlize Theron) and her team of immortal warriors as they confront the 'first immortal,' played by Uma Thurman, who possesses new powers and threatens their existence. The sequel, directed by Victoria Mahoney and based on Greg Rucka and Leandro Fernández’s graphic novel, also features Henry Golding as Tuah, an old ally enlisted for help. Quynh (Veronica Ngô) returns, seeking revenge, adding further danger for the team. Andy faces her newfound mortality as the narrative picks up directly from the 2020 original. The film, delayed due to the pandemic and strikes, features returning stars KiKi Layne, Matthias Schoenaerts, Marwan Kenzari, Luca Marinelli, and Chiwetel Ejiofor. Audiences can expect elevated action sequences, including a major sword fight between Theron and Thurman.
