Rick Hurst, 'Dukes of Hazzard' Actor, Dies at 79
Rick Hurst, best known for playing Deputy Cletus Hogg on the CBS sitcom The Dukes of Hazzard, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 79. His death was confirmed by his ex-wife Candace Kaniecki, though the cause has not yet been revealed. Hurst was celebrated for his comedic timing and lovable portrayal of Cletus, the well-meaning but often hapless cousin of Boss Hogg, and had a prolific television career spanning multiple popular shows from the 1970s onward.
