Fortnite Returns to iOS, Android via Epic Store

Epic Games has reintroduced Fortnite on iPhones within the European Union (EU) and Android devices globally, utilizing its newly launched Epic Games Store. This move follows a four-year hiatus due to a legal battle with Apple and Google over payment methods. The game, along with other popular titles like Fall Guys and Rocket League, is now accessible through third-party app stores such as AltStore PAL and Aptoide, thanks to the EU's Digital Markets Act which mandates Apple to allow alternative app stores. Despite the complex installation process attributed to Apple and Google's restrictive measures, Epic Games offers clear instructions to ease the process. The launch coincides with the release of Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 4: Absolute Doom, featuring Marvel-themed content. Tim Sweeney, CEO of Epic Games, continues to advocate for global regulatory changes to foster free market competition in app distribution.
