Wayne Kramer, co-founder, guitarist, singer, songwriter, and composer of the influential Detroit punk band MC5, has passed away at 75. In addition to his pivotal role in MC5, Kramer was an ex-convict and had overcome cancer in his jaw four years prior. He was planning to release a third studio album in the spring. The cause of his death was not disclosed. His death has led to an outpouring of grief and condolences from fans and fellow musicians on social media.
