Denis Law, the legendary Manchester United striker and joint top scorer for Scotland, passed away on January 17 at the age of 84. His funeral took place at Manchester Cathedral, with a procession that included a route past Old Trafford, where fans gathered to pay their respects. Law, known as 'The King of the Stretford End', scored 237 goals in 404 appearances for Manchester United and was part of the European Cup-winning team in 1968. He is celebrated as the only Scottish player to have won the Ballon d'Or and has two statues dedicated to him at Old Trafford. Law's family expressed gratitude for the support he received during his battle with Alzheimer's disease and vascular dementia.
