MusiCares Gala Honors Grateful Dead amidst Wildfire Relief

The 2025 MusiCares Persons of the Year Gala will honor the Grateful Dead with a tribute concert in Los Angeles on January 31, featuring performances by Dead & Company, John Mayer, Vampire Weekend, and more. This year's event will serve as a fundraiser for Los Angeles wildfire relief, providing support for music professionals affected by the fires. The gala will also pay posthumous tribute to Grateful Dead members Jerry Garcia and Phil Lesh. Andy Cohen will host the event, which will take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center, two days before the Grammy Awards. This marks only the third time a band has received the MusiCares award, following Fleetwood Mac and Aerosmith. Funds raised will assist affected individuals with evacuation, relocation, and other needs.
