During a recent "New Heights" podcast, Deion advised Shedeur to be patient but ready, predicting that his opportunity to play will come soon. He confirmed that Shedeur asked the Baltimore Ravens not to draft him to avoid sitting behind Lamar Jackson long-term, a decision understood and respected by former Ravens executive Ozzie Newsome. Additionally, Deion revealed that the Philadelphia Eagles also showed interest in Shedeur during the draft, though he was ultimately selected by the Browns in the fifth round after they traded up. Shedeur currently ranks third on the Browns' depth chart behind Joe Flacco and fellow rookie Dillon Gabriel, but his father believes he will get a chance to prove himself this season.
