Xpeng, BP Pulse Partner on EV Charging Network

Xpeng Motors has signed a memorandum of understanding with BP Pulse to mutually open their electric vehicle charging networks in China, creating one of the country's largest premium charging networks with over 30,000 chargers across 420 cities. This partnership allows customers of both companies to access a combined total of more than 40,000 charging piles, significantly expanding the infrastructure available for Xpeng drivers. Both companies aim to enhance user experience by integrating their operations and exploring new technologies such as solar power and energy storage at their charging stations. The collaboration follows a similar agreement with Volkswagen, further reinforcing Xpeng's strategy to establish a robust charging network. Xpeng also plans to expand its global charging network by 2025, targeting regions including Asia, Europe, and Australia. This initiative is crucial for supporting Xpeng's growth, particularly as it rolls out new models and aims to meet increasing customer demand for charging access.
