Ritz Peanut Butter Crackers Nationwide Recall Expanded
Mondelez Global LLC has issued a nationwide voluntary recall of specific Ritz Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches due to a packaging error causing some individual packs to be mislabeled as the cheese variety, posing a risk to people with peanut allergies. The recall affects 8-pack, 20-pack, and 40-pack cartons of Ritz Peanut Butter Cracker Sandwiches and 20-pack Ritz Filled Cracker Sandwich Variety Packs. Only specific UPC codes and best-by dates are involved, and the outer cartons remain correctly labeled with allergen warnings. The mislabeling resulted from a supplier error with film packaging rolls. No illnesses or injuries have been reported, and corrective actions are underway to prevent recurrence. The recall does not impact any other Ritz or Mondelēz products.
