Castle, Edey Headline NBA All-Rookie First Team
Stephon Castle of the San Antonio Spurs was the only unanimous selection to the NBA All-Rookie First Team after winning Rookie of the Year honors. The first team also included Atlanta's Zaccharie Risacher, Memphis Grizzlies teammates Zach Edey and Jaylen Wells, and Washington's Alex Sarr. Edey led all rookies in rebounding and field goal percentage, setting a franchise rookie rebounding record for Memphis, while Wells contributed significantly as a second-round pick. The Grizzlies and Wizards were the only teams with multiple players recognized across the All-Rookie teams, with the Grizzlies placing two on the First Team for the first time since 2019-20. These selections highlight the strength and diversity of the 2024 NBA draft class. The achievements of these rookies signal a promising future for their respective franchises.
