Multiple Large-Scale Fentanyl Traffickers Sentenced in U.S. Federal Prisons
Several individuals have been sentenced to federal prison for trafficking fentanyl and other drugs across different states in 2025. Roddrick Navara Shelby of Maryland was sentenced to 70 months for distributing over 150 grams of fentanyl pills disguised as oxycodone, with authorities also finding ammunition and suspected cocaine during a search of his residence. In Connecticut, Darius Gamble, identified as a large-scale fentanyl distributor, received an 80-month sentence followed by supervised release after investigators made multiple controlled purchases and found fentanyl and drug-processing equipment at his home and vehicle. Gamble pleaded guilty to possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and has been detained since his arrest. In New Jersey, Ibraheem Muhammad was sentenced to 10 years for selling fentanyl, heroin, and cocaine, also involving firearm charges due to possession of a handgun and ammunition while being a convicted felon. These cases highlight ongoing federal efforts to combat fentanyl trafficking through coordinated investigations and prosecutions.
