Max Verstappen Seeks Nordschleife Permit for Nurburgring GT4 Race

Max Verstappen, the four-time Formula 1 World Champion, is making his official debut at the iconic Nurburgring Nordschleife to obtain the special DMSB Permit Nordschleife required to race in the GT3 class at the circuit. To earn this permit, he must complete two classified race results by finishing sufficient laps and race distance, which he aims to achieve by competing in a four-hour NLS race driving a Porsche GT4 Cayman. Verstappen previously tested at the Nordschleife under the alias “Franz Hermann,” setting an unofficial lap record in a Ferrari 296 GT3, but now must compete under his own name and pass a mandatory theory exam and on-track test. Known as “Green Hell” due to its challenging layout with 154 corners, the Nordschleife presents a new and demanding challenge for Verstappen, who has expressed a strong desire to race in endurance events such as the Nurburgring 24-hour race. Despite his dominance in F1 and a busy schedule, Verstappen's commitment to expanding his racing portfolio and passion for motorsports is evident in pursuing this licensing and competing at the circuit.
