Joshua Schulte Sentenced over CIA Leaks and Child Porn

Former CIA worker Joshua Schulte has been sentenced to 40 years in prison for possessing child pornography and an additional six-and-a-half years for the largest data leak in the agency's history. Between 2016 and 2017, Schulte leaked top secret files, including the CIA's cyber tools, to WikiLeaks. This leak, known as 'Vault 7', caused significant embarrassment for the CIA and resulted in the dismissal of several staff. Prosecutors asserted that Schulte's motivations stemmed from anger over a workplace dispute, and he was described as both a traitor and a predator by US Attorney Damian Williams.
