Apple TV+ Orders New Series Widow's Bay

Apple TV+ has announced a new 10-episode horror-comedy series titled "Widow’s Bay," created by Katie Dippold and directed by Emmy winner Hiro Murai. The show, produced by Apple Studios, revolves around a cursed New England island and its superstitious inhabitants, led by a skeptical mayor. Dippold, known for her work on "Parks and Recreation" and "The Heat," will serve as showrunner and executive producer, while Murai, recognized for his direction on "Atlanta" and "The Bear," will also produce. No casting details have been released, and the series is expected to debut in 2025. This addition continues Apple TV+'s expansion of original content, following a successful track record of award-winning productions. The service has garnered over 500 wins and 2,300 nominations since its launch in 2019.
