The story follows Dexter as he recovers from being shot by his son Harrison, with the action shifting to New York City where both characters attempt to start new lives. The cast features returning favorites like David Zayas as Detective Angel Batista and introduces high-profile newcomers, including Uma Thurman as Charley, the head of security for billionaire Leon Prater, played by Peter Dinklage, who is set up as the main antagonist. Additional guest stars include Neil Patrick Harris, Krysten Ritter, Eric Stonestreet, and David Dastmalchian. Clyde Phillips returns as showrunner, with production already underway and a summer release planned on Paramount+ with Showtime.
