PSL 10 Opens with Islamabad vs Lahore Match

The 10th edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), branded as PSL X, began with a vibrant opening ceremony at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, featuring performances by artists like Abida Parveen, Ali Zafar, and the Young Stunners. Islamabad United, the defending champions, faced Lahore Qalandars in the opening match of the 34-game tournament, which runs until May 18 and coincides with the Indian Premier League. The PSL will host matches across Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi with six teams competing for a $500,000 prize. The tournament highlights the growth of PSL as a premier T20 competition, despite recent challenges in Pakistan cricket.
