260–300 Trapped in Johannesburg Gold Mine Incident

Between 260 and 300 miners remain trapped underground at Sibanye-Stillwater’s Kloof gold mine near Johannesburg after a malfunctioning skip door damaged the shaft late Thursday night. All miners are accounted for and gathered at an underground assembly point, with no injuries reported so far.
