NatWest Group has announced the opening of a new 370,000 square foot office in Bengaluru's Bagmane Constellation Business Park, set to accommodate up to 6,000 employees by 2026, significantly expanding its engineering and innovation capabilities in India. This strategic move follows the company's previous commitment to hire 3,000 software engineers by 2026, underscoring India's importance as its second-largest employee base outside the UK. The new facility aims to enhance productivity and foster a modern work environment, reflecting NatWest's investment in India's technology ecosystem. Scott Marcar, Group CIO, emphasized the vibrant tech talent in Bengaluru, while Punit Sood, Head of India, highlighted the office as a pivotal step in the bank's growth journey. The expansion aligns with the bank's goal of strengthening its global operations and enhancing customer service. The Bengaluru office is part of a broader strategy that also includes existing offices in Gurugram and Chennai.
