Powerball Jackpot Climbs to $139 Million for April 21 Drawing
The Powerball jackpot has climbed to $139 million for the Monday, April 21 drawing after no one matched all the winning numbers in the previous Saturday draw. The cash option for the jackpot stands at $63.8 million. While the grand prize went unclaimed, a Georgia lottery player won $50,000 by matching four numbers and the Powerball, and a Nebraska ticket matched five numbers for a $1 million prize. Powerball tickets cost $2, with drawings held every Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday at 10:59 p.m. ET. The odds of winning the jackpot are 1 in 292,201,338, and players can add a Power Play multiplier for an extra dollar to boost non-jackpot winnings. The recent jackpot wins included $328.5 million in Oregon in January and $527 million in California in March.
