Chargers Place J.K. Dobbins on Injured Reserve

J.K. Dobbins has been placed on injured reserve by the Los Angeles Chargers due to a sprained MCL in his left knee, which he sustained during a loss to the Baltimore Ravens. He will miss at least the next four games, with a potential return against the New England Patriots on December 29. Dobbins, who ranks fourth in the AFC for rushing yards with 766, was a candidate for the AP Comeback Player of the Year after recovering from a torn Achilles. In his absence, Gus Edwards is expected to take on a larger role, although he has had limited success since returning from his own injury.
