ChargePoint, Eaton Launch Ultrafast 600kW DC EV Chargers North America, Europe

ChargePoint and Eaton have jointly launched the ChargePoint Express Grid, an ultrafast DC vehicle-to-everything (V2X) charging platform capable of delivering up to 600 kW for passenger electric vehicles and megawatt-level power for heavy-duty fleets. This innovative system integrates ChargePoint’s Express chargers with Eaton’s comprehensive electrical infrastructure, offering a modular design that reduces capital expenditure, installation footprint, and operational costs by approximately 30%. The platform supports synchronization of onsite renewables, energy storage, and EV batteries with local energy markets, which lowers fueling costs for fleets and can help balance the electric grid when deployed at scale. Eaton also plans to commercialize solid-state transformer technology soon to further support DC applications. The ChargePoint Express Grid will be available for select customers in North America and Europe beginning in early 2026, with deliveries starting in the second half of the year. Both companies emphasize that this solution advances electrification by enhancing reliability, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, independent of governmental incentives.
