Greg McGonigle has resigned as the manager of the Armagh ladies football team after a successful yet challenging season, during which he led the team to their first-ever Division One title and an Ulster crown. His tenure ended following a semi-final loss to Kerry in the All-Ireland series, which was impacted by the season-ending injury of key player Aimee Mackin. Coaches Joe Feeney and Darnell Parkinson, both part of McGonigle’s staff, will now serve as joint managers going into the 2025 season. McGonigle, who previously managed Dublin and Monaghan, made a significant impact in his single season, leading Armagh to the last four of the All-Ireland championship as well. The Armagh Ladies Gaelic Football Association expressed gratitude for McGonigle's contributions and wished him well in future endeavors. The team remains a strong competitor in women's football despite the recent setback.
