Sophie Thatcher is reportedly in negotiations to star as Jane Smith opposite Mark Eydelshteyn in the second season of Prime Video's 'Mr. & Mrs. Smith', a series co-produced by Amazon MGM Studios and New Regency. The show's first season, created by Donald Glover and Francesca Sloane, followed the characters John and Jane Smith as they posed as a married couple while embarking on espionage missions, concluding with a cliffhanger about their fate. Although Billie Eilish was initially considered for the role of Jane, her ongoing tour prevented her from taking part. Season 2 is expected to introduce new characters rather than direct replacements for the original leads, allowing for a potential anthology format. This would mean Glover and Erskine might return in some capacity, depending on the storyline.
