Body of Missing LA Firefighter Recovered

The body of Connor J. Lees, a Los Angeles firefighter missing since December 4, was found by divers off the coast of Long Beach. Lees went missing while free diving with friends, and despite an initial search, he was presumed dead the following day due to low visibility. The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner is yet to release the cause of death, though no foul play is suspected. In a separate incident, a 55-year-old woman was rescued from the Los Angeles River in Boyle Heights. Firefighters conducted a hoist operation after finding her lying in three to four inches of water, and she was taken to a hospital in serious condition.
