Michigan, Indiana Men Arrested for Possessing Child Pornography

Kevin Buchanan, a 36-year-old resident of Warren, Michigan, was arrested and charged with multiple felonies related to possessing and distributing child sexually abusive material following a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Authorities executed a search warrant at his home, seizing evidence currently under forensic review. Buchanan faces three counts of aggravated possession, four counts of using a computer to commit a crime, and additional charges, with potential prison sentences of up to 10 years per count. He remains in custody on a $250,000 bond and is required to wear a tether if released, with restrictions on contact with minors and internet-capable devices. The investigation involved collaboration between the Macomb Area Computer Enforcement detectives, Sheriff’s Enforcement Team, and the Michigan Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Macomb County Prosecutor Peter J. Lucido emphasized the commitment to pursuing charges to protect vulnerable children and disrupt abuse cycles.
