Peterborough Man Sentenced Five Years Robbery Knife Threats
Isaac Barry, 33, was sentenced to five years in prison after stealing a basket of alcohol from the Premier Store in Peterborough and threatening people with a knife. On January 2, Barry initially raised a bottle of wine to intimidate a staff member before fleeing, then returned an hour later where he threatened two men who chased him with a knife, escaping in a car. Barry, of no fixed or known address, admitted to robbery and threatening a person with a blade. Det Con Guiste described the incident as a terrifying experience for the victims and emphasized the seriousness of robbery offenses. Authorities expressed commitment to bringing offenders to justice. The sentencing took place at Peterborough Crown Court on August 5.
