Former Browns QB Connor Shaw Collapses Coaching Son's Football Game, Stable in Hospital
Connor Shaw, former South Carolina Gamecocks and Cleveland Browns quarterback, collapsed while coaching his son's 8U flag football game in Simpsonville, South Carolina. He was immediately transported to Prisma Health Greenville Memorial Hospital and remains in stable condition in the ICU. Shaw, 33, is South Carolina's all-time winningest quarterback and led the Gamecocks to multiple bowl victories and a historic come-from-behind win known as the "Miracle at Mizzou." After college, Shaw signed as an undrafted free agent with the Browns in 2014 and made one NFL start. The community and local authorities are sending thoughts and prayers for Shaw's full and speedy recovery. Shaw has since transitioned to coaching and player development roles following his NFL career.
