Prince Philip's Alleged Harsh Remark at Harry, Meghan 2018 Wedding Revealed

Prince Philip reportedly made a blunt remark, "Thank f*** that's over," after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding ceremony in May 2018, according to former royal butler Grant Harrold's upcoming memoir. Harrold, who served King Charles from 2004 to 2011, recounted this moment as the royal family exited St George's Chapel, highlighting Philip's famously candid nature. While Philip was determined to attend the wedding despite recent hip surgery, royal biographer Ingrid Seward revealed that Philip was wary of Meghan, nicknaming her “D.O.W.” in reference to Wallis Simpson, and warned the Queen to be cautious. Seward also noted that Philip was not very involved with Meghan prior to the wedding due to his retirement, and his relationship with her remained distant. The royal family has yet to publicly respond to Harrold’s claims, which add to existing narratives about Philip's complex views on Meghan.
