Waymo Launches Business Program, Nashville Rollout Planned

Waymo has launched "Waymo for Business," a corporate program allowing employers, universities and event organizers to set up accounts to subsidize or cover robotaxi rides and integrate bookings with travel apps and expense systems. The service, piloted with partners including Carvana, is available in San Francisco, Los Angeles and Phoenix, with reports of expansion to Austin, Atlanta, Washington and Miami and a planned Nashville rollout in partnership with Lyft. Waymo says nearly one in six local riders in its cities use robotaxis to commute, logging over one million monthly trips and 96 million autonomous miles, and highlights safety improvements compared with human drivers. The program offers business portals, budgeting and reporting tools and promo-code options and is presented as improving disability access and recurring commute and event transportation. Local officials and regulators, including Nashville leaders, are scrutinizing safety rules and potential impacts on other modes of transportation.
