India Women’s Team Wins U-23 World Wrestling Championship, Wins Multiple Medals in Serbia

At the 2025 U-23 World Wrestling Championships in Novi Sad, Serbia, Indian wrestlers Hanshika Lamba (53 kg) and Sarika Malik (59 kg) each won silver medals, narrowly losing to Japanese opponents in their finals. Their performances helped the Indian women's team secure the overall championship with a total of 125 points, surpassing the USA and Japan. Indian women wrestlers also earned five bronze medals in various weight categories, showcasing strong depth in the squad.
