French Streamer Jean Pormanove Dies During 10-Day Livestream Abuse Marathon

French streamer Raphaël Graven, known as Jean Pormanove, died during a nearly 300-hour livestream in which he was subjected to extreme physical abuse, sleep deprivation, and toxic ingestion. His content, hosted on the Kick platform known for its lax moderation, featured him being humiliated and violently mistreated for the entertainment of over a million followers. The disturbing livestream ended abruptly when Graven was found motionless, leading authorities to confirm he died in his sleep and order an autopsy. French government minister Clara Chappaz condemned the prolonged abuse endured by Graven, calling it an "absolute horror" and emphasizing the need for stricter platform safeguards and legal responsibility for online content. Fellow streamers involved in the abuse were investigated for violence against vulnerable individuals but released pending further inquiry. Kick's spokesperson expressed condolences and stated the company was urgently reviewing the circumstances surrounding Graven's death.
