Similarly, Utah's housing market faces a labor shortage that threatens growth, with a required 28,000 new homes annually and 153,000 by 2030 to meet demand. In Australia, the building industry is also struggling, citing a need for 90,000 more construction workers to meet housing targets. Overall, the common thread across these regions is the pressing need for skilled labor to achieve housing supply goals amidst increasing construction costs.
