Wisconsin Badgers Defeat South Dakota 27-13

Chez Mellusi honored his late grandfather with a standout performance, scoring two touchdowns as Wisconsin defeated South Dakota 27-13, improving to 2-0. The Badgers quickly established a 14-0 lead in the first quarter with Mellusi's 9-yard touchdown and a 50-yard pass from Tyler Van Dyke to CJ Williams. South Dakota managed to narrow the gap to 17-13 in the third quarter, but Wisconsin secured the victory with a late 1-yard touchdown run from Mellusi. Van Dyke completed 17 of 27 passes for 214 yards, while Cade Yacamelli led the team in rushing with 73 yards. Nathanial Vakos contributed with two field goals, including a 50-yarder that extended the lead. The Badgers will face Alabama next week as they continue their season.
