Off-duty Georgetown Firefighter Dies in Highway 29 Crash

An off-duty Georgetown firefighter died following a motorcycle crash on Highway 29 near Wolf Ranch Parkway on Friday morning. The firefighter, whose identity has not yet been released pending family notification, was wearing a helmet and was taken to Ascension Seton Williamson Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. The crash occurred around 9:13 a.m., and the Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating the incident. The driver of the second vehicle involved in the crash declined medical transport.
