Ole Gunnar Solskjær Appointed Beşiktaş Coach

Ole Gunnar Solskjær has been appointed as the new coach of Turkish football club Beşiktaş, marking his return to management after being dismissed by Manchester United in 2021. Solskjær, who has signed an 18-month contract with an option for an additional year, succeeds Giovanni van Bronckhorst. Beşiktaş, currently sixth in the Turkish Super Lig, hopes Solskjær will lead them to success as they trail league leaders Galatasaray by 21 points. The Norwegian has previously managed Molde and Cardiff City and replaced Jose Mourinho at Manchester United, where he achieved a second-place Premier League finish. As a player, Solskjær was instrumental in Manchester United's 1999 Champions League triumph. His immediate task will be to improve Beşiktaş's domestic standing and Europa League performance.
