Voting Opens for 42nd Golden Joystick Awards

The 42nd Golden Joystick Awards, the longest-running public-voted gaming awards show, has opened voting across nineteen categories until November 1, 2024. Leading nominees include Astro Bot and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth with five nominations each, while Helldivers 2 follows with four, and the indie game Balatro shines with three nominations. New categories have been introduced this year, including 'Best Soundtrack', 'Best Audio Design', and 'Best Indie Game - Self Published', aimed at recognizing a broader spectrum of gaming talent. The ceremony will take place in central London and be live-streamed globally on November 21, 2024. Additionally, the shortlist for the 'Ultimate Game of the Year' will be announced on November 4, with voting opening the same day.
