In an interview, he highlighted how Tabu agreed to a unique payment structure for 'Chandni Bar', where she earned based on ticket sales rather than a fixed fee, reflecting the modest budget of Rs 1.5 crore. Bhandarkar mentioned that this trend extended to other films like 'Satta', 'Corporate', 'Fashion', and 'Heroine', as these actresses were eager to be part of the creative process without imposing financial burdens. He also addressed the issue of rising entourage costs associated with actors, emphasizing the need for control as they can inflate a film's budget significantly. While he has never faced excessive demands, he noted that entourage expenses generally align with the film’s overall budget. Additionally, Bhandarkar hinted at a sequel to 'Fashion', considering whether it will be a film or an OTT series, with enough material for multiple seasons.
