Hulu Prepares Korean Spy Thriller Tempest Premiere September 10

Hulu and Disney+ will premiere the Korean spy thriller series 'Tempest' on September 10, featuring an international cast including Gianna Jun, Gang Dongwon, and John Cho. The political drama follows Seo Munju, a skilled former diplomat, who investigates an assassination attempt on a presidential candidate accused of being a North Korean spy, uncovering a multinational conspiracy that extends to the White House. Munju is protected by Paik Sanho, a mysterious mercenary with a hidden agenda, as she navigates threats and deception while trying to maintain her safety and trust. Directed by Kim Heewon and co-directed by martial arts director Heo Myeonghaeng, the series is written by Chung Seokyung, known for her work on 'Decision to Leave.' With its blend of political intrigue, espionage, and intense personal drama, 'Tempest' promises a gripping narrative set against the backdrop of Korean peninsula stability and international tensions.
