Tyka Nelson, Prince's Only Full Sibling, Dies at 64

Tyka Nelson, the only full sibling of music legend Prince, passed away at the age of 64 in Minneapolis, as confirmed by her son, President Nelson. The cause of her death remains undisclosed, although she had been dealing with health issues for some time. Tyka, a musician herself, released four albums between 1988 and 2011 and was planning a farewell concert in June, which she had to cancel due to illness. Known for her writing as much as her singing, Tyka was working on a memoir at the time of her passing. She is survived by her two sons and several siblings, including Sharon and Norrine Nelson. Her death comes eight years after Prince's, who died of an accidental overdose in 2016.
