Mother Sentenced for Killing Son in Pembrokeshire

Papaipit Linse, a 43-year-old mother, was sentenced to an indefinite hospital order after pleading guilty to manslaughter for the death of her seven-year-old son, Louis. On January 10, Linse strangled her son with a handbag strap while suffering from paranoid schizophrenia, believing a 'robot' compelled her actions. Following the incident, she called 999 to confess, stating she felt like a robot and was unable to control her mind. Emergency responders found Louis unresponsive in his bedroom, and he was pronounced dead shortly after arriving at the hospital. Judge Paul Thomas emphasized that Linse was not wicked but was severely ill at the time of the act, marking the incident as a tragic loss for many. Linse's husband is also in a secure psychiatric facility, adding to the family's distress.
